Because Their Love Deserves to Be Remembered Forever

Hi there! I’m Christabel, the photographer behind Christabel Photography and a self-confessed “crazy dog person”. If you’re anything like me, your pet isn’t just an animal - they’re family. Their love is unconditional, their presence irreplaceable, and their time with us always feels too short, something I learned through personal loss. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to create beautiful, captivating portraits that celebrate the love we share with our furry companions - so you too can fill your walls with gorgeous photographs, just like I have!
Why Pets? Because They’re Everything!
I’ve always been drawn to animals, from dreaming of working in a zoo as a child to wanting to be part of the canine unit as a teen. But it wasn’t until I picked up a camera that I realized just how powerful a single photograph can be. A photograph holds the power to freeze time, to preserve the love and connection you share with your pet, turning these precious moments into something you can hold close forever.
More Than Just Photos—A Full Experience
Every pet is unique, and every photoshoot with me is tailored to bring out their personality. Whether it’s a boisterous puppy chasing bubbles, an older dog enjoying a quiet moment, or a rescue finding their confidence, I ensure every session is more than just a photoshoot—it’s an experience designed to showcase your pet’s uniqueness while keeping things fun, relaxed, and full of treats!

"I wanted to capture three generations with my elderly Kizzy, Kiki and Kali. I couldn’t have wished for better images! Christabel was amazing with the three divas, patient as ever with the old and blind camera hating lady and the tennis ball obsessed Kiki and amongst the chaos captured the most stunning photos of our girls. Kizzy has since crossed the rainbow bridge and I am so thankful for the high quality images Christabel captured"

A Little About Me
I am married with three rescue dogs, Bella (boxer) Donnie (grey bulldog) and Horatio (white bulldog) All three are failed foster dogs from Many Tears Animal Rescue although I’m actually a great fosterer—I’ve found homes for over 120 dogs!
Over the years I have had dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities and temperaments and this has given me the unique skills needed to be a pet photographer, from infinite patience to a slightly warped sense of humour!
When I’m not in the studio you’ll find me exploring South Wales with my gang, (Bella wildly enthusiastically, Donnie massively resentfully and Horatio very very slowly), working on my latest composite project or enjoying a glass of wine and a sunset down in West Wales with our camper van.
